Short circuit proof certified encapsulated transformers (230V)

The transformers are fitted with an integral PTC which protects the transformer against over temperature in the event of a short circuit or overload condition. Once the fault has been removed from the circuit and the transformer returned to its normal operating temperature, the device restores the primary winding to normal working condition. The transformers have 5KV primary to secondary isolation, are designed with blue boxes and vacuum filled with UL94-V0 resin. Mechanical security to the PCB is provided by four fixing holes in the corners of the unit.

The 'blue range' of encapsulated transformers offer an extremely high quality and a very competitive solution. These short circuit proof units are designed, tested, independently approved and certified to EN60950 and CE marked.

The range is designed using single 230V primary voltage suitable for the UK and the harmonised European voltage. Two independent secondary windings, suitable for connection in series or parallel, provide a wide and flexible range of output voltage options.

As with the whole 'blue range' of encapsulated trasformers, these units are extremely competitively priced and are stocked in both prototype and production quantities.
